It is with deep sadness and regret that we received the news of the passing of Prof. Jerzy Wilkin - head of the Department of Political Economy in the years 1996-2014, dean of the Faculty of Economic Sciences of the University of Warsaw in the years 1996-1999, an outstanding Polish economist, a member of the Polish Academy of Sciences.
The achievements of Prof. Jerzy Wilkin in areas such as agricultural economics and rural development, institutional economics, economic philosophy and methodology, as well as political economy and public choice, are widely known and respected.
