For this year's off-campus Department of Political Economy meeting we headed to sunny Warka.

A very enjoyable kayak trip of 10 km on the charming Pilica river - from Białogóra to Warka - warmed the squad up for subsequent scholarly discussions.

A rich lineup of presentations, organized in three academic sessions, allowed us to catch up with current research pursued by members of the Department, postdocs and PhD students.

Joanna Jędrzejewska, as well as Mohammad Hossein Sadeghi, presented fresh results of their ongoing PhD projects.

Dominika Milczarek-Andrzejewska, as well as Demetrio Miloslavo Bova, put new research project ideas up for discussion.

Anna Lewczuk-Czerwińska presented preliminary results of a new paper, co-authored by Katarzyna Metelska-Szaniawska.

There was also an opportunity to brainstorm on the content and new format of the "Political Economy" course to be offered for undergraduate students at Faculty of Economic Sciences of the University of Warsaw from 2026/27.

Friendly chit-chats during lunch, dinner, and ice cream complemented the program.

Thanks to all the participants and special big thanks to Eliza Hałatek for essential organizational support.
