We would like to invite submissions for the special issue of the journal Ekonomista devoted to “Political economy in Central and Eastern Europe”, whose guest editior is Prof. Jan Fałkowski from Department of Political Economy at WNE UW.

The special issue is intended to contribute to the broadly construed political economy in the area of ​​research on understanding the processes at the intersection of the economy and politics taking place in countries of Central and Eastern Europe. Articles may concern contemporary and historical issues and use various methodological approaches. In particular, the topics of the papers may be: voting and elections, democratic institutions, political conflicts and inequalities, cultural aspects and the problem of economic discontent.

Paper proposals should be submitted via the Economista submission system, specifying that they concern the special issue. The deadline for submitting proposals is August 31, 2024. The special issue will be released in December 2024. The publication language is English. For details check the announcement on Economista's website.
