Economic Analysis of Law and Politics

Bachelor thesis seminar, Mondays 13:15 room A306, the entire academic year 2024/2025 (regular classes / individual work - in the 2nd semester individual work)

During this seminar students prepare their bachelor theses regarding new interdisciplinary research fields linking Economics with Political Science or Law. They apply concepts and tools of Economics to problems of politics and law falling within the field of New Political Economy, Public Choice, Law and Economics or related disciplines. Upon completion of the seminar the student understands, by reference to economic theory, and can individually analyze the functioning of selected political mechanisms and legal solutions.

To a limited extent theses may also concern relationships of Economics with other sciences.

Remarks:
1) Students combining Economics studies and other faculties are welcome to participate.
2) Theses may be prepared in English.

Conditions for receiving credit:
1st semester - preparing and presenting the preliminary outline of the bachelor thesis
2nd semester - assessment of progress in preparing the bachelor thesis and its content, presentation of the thesis
